Yatri Motorcycles has opened the pre-order for Yatri Project One (P1) electric motorcycle ahead of its official launch in the coming weeks. The price of reserving the Yatri P1 has been set at Rs 10,000.Those who wish to reserve the Yatri P1 motorcycle can make the payment via internet banking, mobile banking, Connect IPS, SCT card or through Khalti wallet. The reservation amount is fully refundable in case a buyer changes their mind. There's even a provision of an EMI facility at an interest rate of 7.99%. Customers can choose between 12, 18 or 24 months tenure while applying for the EMI facility. To avail the EMI facility, a downpayment of 25% is compulsory.
Yatri's P1 is priced between Rs 4,95,000- Rs 5,44,900 in the Nepalese market. Buyers will have the option of configuring their own motorcycle. They will have the option to choose the Colour (Paint, Seat and Suspension finish), Power Pack (Base and Boost), Performance Braking (Base and Stoppie) and Digital Startup Pack (Base and Digital). The pricing varies according to these parameters.
So, what exactly are the Power, Performance Braking and Digital Startup Packs?
Power Pack:
There are two variants on offer under the Power Pack: Base and Boost Pack. While the base variant does 0-60 kmph in 3.9 seconds with 72T rear sprockets, the variant with Boost Pack with its 8OT rear sprockets will do a much faster 0-60 kmph. The Boost Pack is priced at an extra Rs 11,800.
Performance Braking:
Like the Power Pack, there are two braking options on offer. You will have the option to choose between a 240mm front disc motor which comes standard and a larger 320mm front disc rotor with performance caliper which comes under the Stoppie Pack. The Stoppie Pack is charged an extra Rs 12,000
Digital Startup Pack:
The Digital Startup Pack has two options: A classical mechanical on/off key which is standard while a contact-free digital on/off key is provided as an option under the Digital Pack. The Digital Pack is priced at Rs 18,700.
The P1 is lightweight, super agile with great suspension, built for the roads of Nepal, says the company. The compact chassis, high ground clearance (270mm), fat tires, and long-travel suspension of the P1 should make it ideal for our terrain. The peak power of the P1 comes in at 14kW (approximately 19hp) and the maximum wheel torque is 480NM. The claimed top speed is 100kmph and the company boasts of a power-to-weight ratio comparable to 250cc motorcycles.Yatri Motorcycles has also announced to build 150 P-1 DC Fast Chargers across the nation by Summer 2022.You can reserve your Yatri P1 by visiting the company website
